Quantifying Silicone Adhesion to Fibreglass & Metal: Results from New Methodology (in English)

Dr. Alessia Cabrini received her Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from University of Padua in 2019 and her Ph.D. degree in Materials Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 2024. She joined EB Rebosio, part of the Bonomi Group, in 2025 as R&D Engineer, where she is primarily involved in product and process innovation projects for high-voltage composite insulators. Her work focuses on the evaluation and improvement of silicone adhesion to fiberglass and metal substrates by investigating different primer formulations and optimizing the manufacturing process. She also contributes to the development and validation of an innovative sensing system for monitoring the status and performance of composite insulators.
