Tracking & Erosion Resistance Under DC Stress: Recent Studies (in English)

Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Stefan Kühnel studied electrical engineering, with a specialisation in electrical power engineering. Since 2012, he is research assistant at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences in the Department of High-Voltage Engineering and Materials for Electrical Engineering. His research focuses on the behaviour of materials at the air-solid interface, specifically tracking and erosion resistance, insulating performance under pollution, and general dielectric properties of insulating materials. He is active in IEC technical committee 112 and 36 and secretary in CIGRE working groups D1.72, D.84.
