Dr.-Ing. Fabian Lehretz studied Industrial Engineering and Materials Science at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. He began his career in 2010 at Lapp Insulators (Pfisterer Group), where he became R&D Manager for High-Voltage Composite Insulators. In 2019, he joined TenneT as Asset Specialist for High-Voltage Insulators and Corrosion Protection. Since 2025, he serves as Head of Asset Management, leading the specification of physical grid assets, supplier qualification, technical governance, and quality assurance across TenneT’s transmission network. Dr. Lehretz is Chairman of the German CIGRE SC B2 National Committee, convenes several international CIGRE working groups on insulating materials and testing, and serves as Project Leader of IEC Working Group PT 63264.
