Ángel Ramírez Linares is Technical Manager for Lightning Direct Effects and R&D at the High Voltage Technological Center of the “Laboratorio Central Oficial de Electrotecnia”, LCOE, in Spain. He is an electrical engineer specializing in high-voltage and high-current testing, lightning effects, surge arresters and electrical metrology. His work combines laboratory testing, the development of non-standard experimental methods and participation in research and standardization activities. He has extensive experience in impulse-current testing of surge arresters and lightning protection components, including the design of specialized test setups and measurement systems.
