Differential Insulation As a Method for Eliminating Double Circuit Backflashovers (in English)

Anne Williams holds a BE/BSc with University Medal in Electrical Engineering and a MEngSc in Electric Power Engineering from The University of New South Wales and is at Aurecon Australasia where her role is Principal, Power Transmission and Distribution. She has been part of the T&D industry for 21 years and specialises in transmission line design. She has carried out all aspects of electrical design of lines throughout Australia at voltages including 500 kV. She also has a wide experience in 132 to 330kV transmission, 66 kV and 33 kV wood pole lines and 11 kV, 33 kV, 66 kV and 1500 V DC cable route design. Special interests include icing of transmission wires and lightning performance of lines. Anne was the recipient of a Highly Commended award for Technological Innovation by Consult Australia 2017, and was named by Engineers Australia as one of the Top 30 Most Innovative Engineers 2018 for her design for Sydney Trains of an innovative HV aerial steel pole suite providing immunity to electrolysis by stray traction current.
